Spiritual Tidbits (1) – Who did jesus died for?

(Since I am leaving the care group soon, I will probably start a mini-series of some simple random tidbits of truth to chew on everyday, before I move up.)

Galatians 2 (NIV)
20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
In this letter, Paul made Jesus’ sacifice personal for himself – The Lord loved ME, gave Himself for ME.
Jesus not only died for the world, He died specifically for you. When He was on the cross, He was thinking of your complaining of the canteen auntie ( ah, complaining is sin!), He was thinking about your road rage, He was thinking about your new job (favor), He was thinking about your fever (healing), and then He nailed them on the cross FOR YOU. It’s not just about the world – it’s about you. That’s the greatness and the intimacy of His love all rolled into one. =)
