The Church Of Jesus Christ – Where His Fullness Dwells

(Ome: Hey bros and sis!

First of all, very sorry that the sermon last week is skipped for now. I left my sermon notebook in church during Arrow, and I can only collect it back next Arrow. So, next week, I will post double! 😉

Here are the verses from Pastor Prince’s sermon last week, and what I caught from it. I am glad that Pastor finally preach a message on the church of Jesus Christ. I have heard Pastor share bits here and there, and this is finally one sermon on the church! One of them that comes to my mind is in the “When You Touch Jesus, You Touch Your Destiny!” sermon, when Pastor talk about how the body of Christ is where His fullness dwells. Different people manifest different sides of Jesus. Some manifest the worshipping part, some the wisdom, some the humility; different people have different anointings, but it is in the church that His fullness manifests!

Be blessed, and remember that you are glorious, without spot or wrinkle, because God sees you through the cross, through Jesus’ finished work. He sees you covered in His Son’s blood, which was washed you from all your sins!)

3 April Sunday Service

Preached by Pastor Prince

2nd Service

Verses from the sermon:

Psalm 65:4

4Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.

Ephesians 1:22-23

22And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 1:22 (NLT)

22God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.

Ephesians 1:22-23 (MSG)

22-23He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.

Matthew 18:20

20For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

1 Corinthians 10:11

11Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

Deuteronomy 8:4

4Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years.

Deuteronomy 2:7

7“For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.”‘

Ezekiel 16:10

10I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk.

Exodus 38:8

8He made the laver of bronze and its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

Hebrews 6:10

10For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Key take-home points:

  • When the Israelites were in wilderness, they camped around the presence of God. They camped facing the tabernacle. Their backs were exposed, a bad call as far as military tactics are concerned, but they were never harmed throughout their journey in the wilderness. Today, when you choose to live your life around the presence of God, when you choose to prioritise the presence of God, it may look like you are neglecting your studies, it may look like you are forgoing a better choice in the natural, but when you choose to build your life around His presence and His church, you will never, ever be shortchanged! God will take care of everything else in your life. He will make sure that your studies, your internship, your travel plans, all fall into place. The time that you give to God, the money, the energy, He will make sure that you don’t lose it!
  • The church is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. Kingdoms fall, curtains come down for the benefit of the church. God’s focus is you, the church, not the world. God is not moved by the economic downturn, and global warming! His power is brought to bear when the church prays. The church is God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. God loves every person personally, but His focus, His plan, is the church! Hence, you will not find the fullness of God’s grace, goodness, glory, mercy and redemption elsewhere. You will find it in the church!
  • There is power when Believers agree. Jesus says that when the two of us, the lowest plurality, agree on earth, it will be done for them by God the Father. (Mat 18:19) Wow! So know that there is power in coming together to pray. Doesn’t have to be the whole CG. There is power when, even when it’s just two of you, agree.
  • Jesus says that where two (the smallest plurality) or more are gathered, there He is in the midst, and where Jesus is, nothing is impossible! So every time we come together, be it in Sunday service, Arrow, CG, devo or even meet up to fellowship, know that we are in the zone where nothing is impossible! You cannot walk out the same way you came. You will walk out healed, prospered, filled, delivered!
