Behold, God Is Doing A New Thing For You!

(Ome: Hey Beloveds!

Once again, sorry that the sermon notes have been coming late, as I have been busy with school projects. I’m here with the verses and what I caught from Pastor Lian’s sermon two weeks ago. We are in an exciting season in which God is doing a new thing in our lives and corporately! I would like to encourage you to take time to agree with God on this, and see Him do a new thing in your life. It’s not hard. Nothing for you to do, just say yes, really!

I pray that the sermon notes bless you and speak to you, and declaring over you restful revision for exams. Jesus is your more than enough wisdom and favour!

Blessed week!)

30 October Sunday Service

Preached by Pastor Lian

4th Service

Verses from the sermon:

Romans 8:1

1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Isaiah 43:16-19

16Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters, 17Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick): 18“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Genesis 39:2-4

2The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand. 4So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.

Isaiah 40:31

31But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Key take-home points:

  • God is a God of increase. In a life of believer, there is no decrease, only increase. Even if there is a trial in life, there is hardship, there is decrease, it is only temporary, and you will emerge from that season with much more increase. God promises that He works all things out for your good. Bad things and ugly things are not from Him, but He’s gonna work them all out for your good and His glory!
  • Don’t live in the past, be it good past or bad past. Israel has had God perform glorious miracles in the past, but God said, don’t live in the past, because God is gonna do a new thing. That means fresh grace and fresh glorious miracles! If the past was bad, God says, let it go. He is doing a new thing, and it is good. With Him, your future is bright!
  • If you are suffering where you are now, don’t stop believing. Keep on believing. It is not your right doing that earns you the good in life, and your wrong doing cannot disqualify you from receiving the good in life. Go back to what you believe. If you are believing right, then keep on believing, and you will see that Jesus is faithful to see you through!
